Q-Ai Council — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

QbyteLab (“we”, “our”) publishes the Q-Ai Council mobile application (the “App”). This policy explains what data the App handles and how.

1. Two places, and only two

Your device, and our server.

2. What never leaves your device unencrypted

Your knowledge shelf and your preferences are stored on your device alone. No AI provider key is ever stored on your device: the keys are ours, and they stay on our server. Your conversations and the pictures the council draws are stored on your device and, so that they follow your account to any phone you sign in on, also in an encrypted cloud vault: every conversation is encrypted on your device with a key that belongs to your account before it is uploaded. The cloud stores only ciphertext it cannot read; our server holds the key and never the conversations. Nobody but you can read them — not us, not the cloud provider.

3. What our server holds

When you sign in with Apple or Google we store a one-way hash of the sign-in identifier — never the identifier itself — your email address if the provider supplies one, for support only, your plan and how much of it you have used. For each request we also record: the time, which model answered, how many tokens it used, and what it cost.

4. Your questions

Your questions and attachments pass through our server to reach the AI provider — relayed, never stored. We keep the token count and the cost, not the text.

5. The AI providers

Whatever reaches them is governed by their own privacy policies.

6. We collect nothing else

No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no profiling, and we never sell or share your data.

7. Keeping and deleting

Account and plan data live as long as your account does. Billing records are kept for 24 months, because a payment dispute has to be answerable. Deleting your account inside the app erases your data on the device and marks the account deleted on the server; removing the app erases everything local. Deleting your account also erases your encrypted vault in the cloud and discards its key.
